Practical Use
Setting the Volume for Each Clip
You can adjust the volume level of each clip independently of the others. Adjust clip volume levels
individually when, for example, there are discrepancies in the levels from one clip to another.
1.
Select the clip whose volume setting you want to set in the “Clips” list.
2.
Move the slider to adjust the volume level.

Setting the Playback Speed for Each Clip
You can set the playback speed independently for each individual clip.
1.
Click the Extended Parameters tab.
2.
Move the Playback Speed slider to adjust the playback speed.

Specifying the scaler for each clip
You can independently specify the scaler for each clip.
1.
Click the extended parameter tab.
2.
In “Scaler,” click the desired setting to select it.

You can return the parameters
to their standard settings by
right-clicking the slider and
then selecting “Defaults.”
The number above the slider
indicates the playback speed.
Whether you can specify the
scaler setting will depend on
the output resolution (p. 97).
The scaler setting can be
made if one of the following
output resolutions is selected.
- 640 x 480
- 1024 x 768
- 1280 x 960
- 1280 x 1024
- 1920 x 1200
* If you specify a scaler setting
and then change the output
resolution, specifying an
output resolution other than
those listed above will cause the
aspect ratio of the clip and the
output image to be identical, so
the setting will not be applied.
How the output resolution and the scaler setting are related
Depending on the output resolution (p. 97) and the scaler setting, the output video will change as
follows.
• For output other than 16:9:
• For 16:9 output: the scaler setting is ignored.
