4.
Connect the PR-1000HD to the network through the computer.
You can connect to the PR-1000HD using the host name you specified in “Making the Network
Settings” (p. 100).
Connect using the host name you set on the PR-1000HD. For more-detailed instructions about
making these connections, refer to the documentation for your computer.
If you’re using Mac OS X, you can use “smb://unit’s_host_name/IMPORT/” or "smb://
unit's_IP_address/IMPORT/" to access the IMPORT folder in the removable hard disk drive..
Copy video materials from the computer to the IMPORT folder.
The video material copied to the import folder can be imported by the “Import Material” dialog
box (p. 81). For details on the formats that can be imported, refer to “Importing material via the
network” (p. 82).
5.
Click the “Stop Sharing” button.
The drive sharing function will stop, and you will return to the Edit mode screen.

• When you import material
from the “IMPORT” folder at
the “Import Material”
screen, that material is
automatically deleted from
the “IMPORT” folder. All
other files are also deleted
when the power to the PR-
1000HD is turned on.
• If copying materials causes
the PR-1000HD's
removable hard disk drive
to fill up, it will become
difficult for the PR-1000HD
to operate normally
(Required free space is
twice the size of materials).
If this occurs, shut down the
PR-1000HD, then power it
up again. (When you do so,
the contents of the import
folder will be erased.)
• Do not click the "Stop
sharing" button while files
are being transferred. And if
you're using Mac OS X, you
should eject the "IMPORT"
folder before stopping drive
sharing. Doing so may
cause the files that are
being transferred to be
damaged.
