Introduction to Use of the PR-1000HD — 

 

Names of Things in Screens/What They Do

Utility

 

This is displayed when “Utility” is selected in the Selector window (p. 28).

This function is used for organizing the projects (p. 50) on the drives. For more details, refer to “” (p. 
84).

a. “Drives” List

 

Select the drive you want to work with here. Information including the disk free space is also 
indicated. You can carry out the following operations by right-clicking.

 

a-1.

 

 [Scan disk]

This checks a removable hard disk drive for abnormalities, and repairs them if possible.

 

a-2.

 

 [Defrag]

This rearranges the fragmented files on a drive to improve the response.

 

a-3.

 

 [Initialize]

This initializes a drive, deleting all data on that drive.

 

b. “Projects” List

 

Select the project you want to work on here. You can also drag and drop projects to other drives in the 
“Drives” list and copy projects from other drives.

You can carry out the following operations by right-clicking.

 

b-1.

 

 [Duplicate]

This creates copies of projects on the same drive. 

 

b-2.

 

 [Change Name]

This changes the name of the project.

 

b-3.

 

 [Delete]

This deletes a project. Before deletion occurs, you will be asked whether you really want to delete 
the project. If you are sure you want to delete the project, hold down the [Shift] key of the keyboard 
and click the [Delete] button.

On the PR-1000HD, it may be 
that material used in a project 
is also used by another project. 
For this reason, the following 
phenomena will occur.

•  Even if you delete a project, 

the free space on the disk 
will not increase by an 
amount equivalent to the 
size of the project that was 
deleted.

•  Even if you delete a project, 

material that is also used by 
another project will not be 
deleted.
