Menu 2.1: Voice Manager
Your DynaWrite device allows you to choose a synthetic voice from an
available library of three VeriVox voices and nine DecTalk voices. The size of
the VeriVox voice files, however, makes it inefficient to store any unused
voices on your DynaWrite system. Because of this, you were asked at the
time of purchase to select the VeriVox voice that will most likely suit your
communication needs. Your DynaWrite device has been shipped with all
nine DecTalk voices and your chosen VeriVox voice. The remaining two
VeriVox voices have been shipped as part of the Backup and Utility software
on the CD that accompanied your device.
If you decide to use a new VeriVox voice, it can easily be downloaded from your
computer to your DynaWrite. To learn about installing new voices, please refer
to the
Voice Manager Operations step-by-steps in this manual.
Installed Voices (Alt + I). The Installed Voices list box is a catalog of the
synthetic voices that are currently available on your DynaWrite. Once this list
box is selected, you can use the up and down arrow keys on your keyboard to
scroll through the list and highlight items.
Receive (Alt + R). The Transfer button enables you to transfer selected voice
files from a computer to your DynaWrite device by using a serial cable
connection.
