DynaWrite Reference Guide
Menu 1.1: File Manager
The File Manager menu provides tools for saving DynaWrite text files. In
this menu you may also organize and maintain text files, transfer files to a
computer, receive files from a computer and print files. You may also use
this menu to back up files to a removable USB storage device.
You can also access the File Manager menu by selecting the Menu/File key
and the Fn (Function) key on your DynaWrite keyboard.
Tip: For step-by-step instructions for saving, loading and maintaining
files, see the
File Operations step-by-steps in this manual. This
section also includes specific instructions for transferring, receiving
and printing files. Steps for saving files to a USB storage device are
also included.
Files (Alt + I). The Files list box contains a list of saved directories and files.
When this list box is active, use the up and down arrow keys on your DynaWrite
keyboard to move through the list and highlight selections. To open a
highlighted directory, select the
Forward button. You may simultaneously select
several files in a row by holding down the Shift key while using the arrow keys
to make selections. To select multiple files which are not located near each
other in the list box, hold down the
Ctrl (Control) and use the space bar to
highlight a file. Then, without releasing the Ctrl key, use the arrow keys to
move to the next file and highlight it with the space bar. When all of the
desired files are highlighted, release the
Ctrl key.
