Transferring a Digital Recording
to a Windows Computer
Before beginning this transfer, connect the
serial cable to the DynaWrite serial port
and to the computer’s serial host port.
Then turn on your computer and open the
DynaWrite Backup and Utility software.
1.
On your DynaWrite keyboard select
the
Menu/File
key.
2.
Select the
Tools
button (Alt + T).
3.
Select the
Digitized Speech
button
(Alt + S).
4.
In the
Sounds
list box, highlight the
name of the file you want to transfer.
5.
Select the
Transfer
button (Alt + T).
6.
Select the
Yes
button (Alt + Y).
7.
Select the
Start Transfer
button
(Alt + S).
8.
On the computer,
select
Receive File
.
9.
Select
OK
.
10. Navigate through the file dialog to find
a place to store the transferred file.
If the file name is not displayed in the
File Name
text box, type in the name
you want the file to have.
11. Select
Save
.
12. Select
File
and then
Close
to exit the
Backup and Utility software.
13.
On the DynaWrite,
select the
OK
button (Alt + O).
14. Select the
Close
button (Alt + C).
15. Select the
Close
button (Alt + C).
16. Select the
Close
button (Alt + C).
Transferring a Digital Recording
to a Macintosh Computer
Before beginning this transfer, connect the
serial cable to the DynaWrite serial port and
to the computer’s serial host port. Then
turn on your computer and open the
DynaWrite Backup and Utility software.

On your DynaWrite keyboard select
the
Menu/File
key.
2.
Select the
Tools
button (Alt + T).
3.
Select the
Digitized Speech
button
(Alt + S).
4.
In the
Sounds
list box, highlight the
name of the file you want to transfer.
5.
Select the
Transfer
button (Alt + T).
6.
Select the
Yes
button (Alt + Y).
7.
On the computer,
select
Receive File
.
8.
Navigate through the file dialog to find
a place to store the transferred file.
9.
Select
Choose
.
10.
On the DynaWrite,
select the
Start
Transfer
button (Alt + S).
11.
On the computer,
select
Yes
.
12. When the transfer has been
completed, select
OK
.
13. Select
File
and then
Quit
to exit the
Backup and Utility software.
14.
On the DynaWrite,
select the
OK
button (Alt + O).
15. Select the
Close
button (Alt + C).
16. Select the
Close
button (Alt + C).
17. Select the
Close
button (Alt + C).
