DynaWrite Reference Guide
If you are the person who received and unpacked your DynaWrite device, please
check the packing slip carefully to be sure you received all of the items you
ordered. If you have any questions about your order, please call DynaVox
Systems’ Accounting Department at 1-800-344-1778.
Tip: Save the box and packing material. If you ever need to send your
DynaWrite in for repair, you’ll need the box and packing to ship it
safely.
DynaWrite Specifications
The key features of your
DynaWrite device are a
full-size keyboard and a
transflective monochrome
display with 640 x 240
screen resolution. These
features are shown in
Figure 1 .
In the upper left corner
of the DynaWrite is the
circular Power button.
This button is used to
turn the device on and
off. In the upper right
corner, there is a small
light emitting diode (LED)
which will light up only when the device’s battery is being charged.
A small, oval indentation can be found just above the DynaWrite display screen.
This indentation has a small opening for the device’s built-in microphone. This
omnidirectional, electret condenser microphone can be used to record speech.
Turn the DynaWrite upside down. You will find two labels on the bottom side of
the device. The first label includes the DynaVox logo and your device’s unique
serial number. The second label is printed with DynaVox’s business address and
