Initial Power-Up Tests
The system completes a series of initial system checks whenever
you turn on the system power. If the system halts at one of
these tests, the diagnostic LEDs display a code that indicates
the problem. Table F-67 lists initial power-up test LED displays
and their meaning.
Table F-67. Initial Power-Up Test Error Codes
Error Code Description
EE Test could not run on LEDs.
ED Write to memory failed.
EC Reading memory failed. If a miscompare occurred, the
read/write operation loops forever.
EB Test halted trying to check the security jumper and clearing
the nonvolatile RAM.
EA Test could not determine if the system is in a power-up or
rest situation.
E9 Test halted trying to verify the ERRADR’s power-up state.
E8 Test could not begin the power-up test sequence.
E7 Initializing base system, RAM or stack failed.
E6 Test could not perform system configuration and device
checks.
E5 Console initialization routines halted.
E4 Attempt to display power-up banner failed.
E3 Test could not invoke diagnostic executive.
E2 Setting power-on flag failed.
E0 Diagnostics halted after returning from main console code.
D8 Test halted while trying to initialize state while running
reboot code.
D7 Test halted while trying to initialize base system, RAM, and
stack while running reboot code.
D6 Diagnostic reset script did not complete.
D5 Console initialization failed.
