Table F-44. Promiscuous Mode Test Error Codes
Error Code Description
1 Error occurred reading Ethernet station address ROM.
2 Error occurred initializing the Ethernet controller chip.
3 Error occurred sending packet.
4 Error occurred receiving packet.
5 An inappropriate packet was received in nonpromiscuous
mode.
6 Packet receive routine returned a miscellaneous error.
7 Error occurred initializing Ethernet chip in promiscuous
mode.
8 Error occurred transmitting packet.
9 Error occurred receiving internal loopback packet.
Multicast Test
The multicast test checks the Ethernet’s ability to filter
multicast packets. To run the multicast test, type t x07 P1,
and press Return.
When you use this test command
Replace x with the unit number of the Ethernet controller
that you want to test.
Replace the optional parameter P1 with a specific address
in the Ethernet RAM buffer in which you want to set up
structures.
