Serial Line Silo Alarm Test

The serial line silo alarm test checks the serial line controller’s
ability to generate a silo alarm interrupt.

To run this test, type t f42 P1 P2 and press Return.

Serial line silo alarm test error messages

Table F-4 describes the parameters in serial line silo alarm test
commands and error messages.

Table F-5 lists the error codes found in serial line silo alarm
error messages.

Parameter

Description

Specifies the test’s loopback setting. Specify 0 for internal
loopback; specify 1 for external loopback.

Specifies the serial line to be tested.

Specify 0 to test the keyboard.

Specify 1 to test the mouse.

Specify 2 to test the right communications line .

Specify 3 to test the left communications line.

Actual value in register named in the subtest.

Expected value in register named in the subtest.
