1.MSS generates a log message listing the AP serial number and ﬁngerprint so you can verify the AP’s

identity.

Verifying a DWL-8220AP’s Fingerprint on a switch

To verify a DWL-8220AP’s ﬁngerprint, ﬁnd the ﬁngerprint and use the

set dap ﬁngerprint

command to enter the ﬁngerprint in MSS.

Finding the Fingerprint

A DWL-8220AP’s ﬁngerprint is listed on a label on the back of the AP. If the AP is already

installed and operating, use the

show dap status

command to display the ﬁngerprint. The

following example shows information for Distributed AP 8, including its ﬁngerprint:
