Parking brake system indicator

This indicator can give warning for
two types of faults.

If you press the Start button and turn
the power to ON, this indicator will
turn on in the following cases:

1. When the parking brake is applied

If you press the Start button and
turn the power to ON, this indicator
will turn on to remind you to check
the hand brake. This indicator will
stay on until the hand brake is
released, and meanwhile, if your
drive the vehicle, the buzzer will
sound repeatedly. Driving the
vehicle with the handbrake
unreleased will cause damage to
the brake and tires.

2. When the brake fluid level is low

CAUTION

Driving with low brake fluid level is
very dangerous!

Contact a BYD service station in the
following cases:

y

If you press the Start button and

turn the power to ON, this indicator
will not turn on when the parking
brake is applied.

y

After the parking brake is released,

this indicator will not turn on when
the power is turned to ON.

The fact that this indicator turns on
temporally does not mean that
something is wrong.

CAUTION

In any of the following cases,
immediately stop the vehicle at a
safe place and contact a BYD
service station for help:

y

When the engine is running, this

indicator stays on after the
parking brake is released.

y

In this case, maybe the brake is

not working normally and the
braking distance becomes
longer. Press the brake pedal
hard to stop the vehicle
immediately.

y

The braking system indicator

stays on when the ABS warning
indicator is turned on.

y

In this case, maybe the ABS is

not working and the vehicle
becomes hard to control.
