and disturbance. However, to
avoid accidents, do not use the
vehicle beyond the
electromagnetic environment
specified by applicable laws.

BYD has taken the common
misuse of the vehicle and
various road conditions into full
consideration when presetting
the airbag triggering conditions.
However, avoid intensive
striking on the bottom and do not
drive the vehicle toughly under
poor road conditions in order to
prevent accidents.
Deactivate Airbags
According to laws, airbags for the
driver and the front passenger can be
deactivated only in particular cases,
such as:
y
When it is impossible to keep a
25cm distance between the center
of the steering wheel and the chest
of the driver even though the
driver’s seat is properly adjusted;
y
When a special equipment must
be installed for the disabled near
the steering wheel;
y
When adjustment of the front
passenger seat which is required
for a specific reason makes it
impossible to keep the seat within
the scope set by the manufacturer.
Deactivation of the airbag system
must be conducted by a BYD service
station. After a certain airbag is
deactivated, the BYD service station
must place a warning label on the
corresponding position and add a
record in
Repair Manual
.
CAUTION
If the airbag system must be
deactivated in particular cases, it
shall be conducted by a BYD
service station. Otherwise the
airbag can cause severe injury or
death!
The deactivated airbag must be
activated as soon as possible to
provide protection to the occupant.
