BYD M6 AUTO Owner’s Manual

Emergency Handling 5-9

Lift up and remove the lower cover
plate

Take out tools

1. Fastening connector
2. To take out the jack, rotate the

connector in the compression
direction until the jack is released.

3. To store the jack, rotate the

connector in the extension
direction until the jack is firmly
fastened. This prevents the jack
from falling off during a collision or
hard braking.

Take out the spare tire

Loosen and remove the nut. Take out
the spare tire.

To store the spare tire, put it in place
with the inner side of the wheel facing
up. Then secure the tire by steps in
the reverse sequence of removal.
This prevents the spare tire from
flying forward during a collision or
hard braking.

2. Block the wheel

When jacking up the vehicle, block
the wheel diagonally opposite to the
flat tire to keep the vehicle from
rolling.

The chock block must be placed in
front of a front wheel and behind a
rear wheel.
