Before Driving 3-7

conventional brake system still works
normally.

When the

warning indicator

stays on and the braking system
indicator remains off, the ABS system
isn‘t working normally and the wheels
may be locked in hard braking or on
slippery road surface.

In any of the following cases, there is
a problem with the components that
are monitored by this indicator.
Contact a BYD service station as
soon as possible to have the vehicle
serviced.

If this indicator doesn’t turn on or

stays on when the ignition switch is
at ON;

y

If this indicator turns on when you

are driving the vehicle.

The fact that this indicator turns on
temporarily does not mean that
something is wrong.

CAUTION

y

If both the

indicator and

braking system indicator turn on
in driving, stop the vehicle
immediately and contract a BYD
service station to service your
vehicle.

y

In this case, the ABS is not

working and the vehicle
becomes hard to control.

Brake Pad Wear Warning
Indicator

Disc bake pads have built-in wear
warning indicators that make warning
sound when the worn brake pads
must be replaced by new pads.

When you hear high-pitched noise or
friction noise in driving, drive to the
nearest service station to check and
replace the brake pads.
