Deconstruct Text

button (

). A box of “dancing ants” (moving dashes) appears

around each letter.

Click the

Move

tool (

), and then click outside of the text shape. The “dancing ants” and selection frame

disappear from around the letters.

Using the

Move

tool (

), select the letter “B”. “Dancing ants” and a selection frame appear around the

letter.

In the

Fonts

drop-down list in the

Text

bar, select “Calgary”.

In the

Needles

(thread color) palette, click the red orange thread color.

Drag the handle at the top-left corner of the selection frame around the letter “B” so that the letter is
resized as shown in figure 72 above.

Drag the pointer to select the letters “ELLE”. “Dancing ants” and a selection frame appear around the let-
ters.

Move the letters closer to the letter “B”.

Using the

Reshape

tool (

), drag the pointer to select all punchpoints at the top of the letters “ELLE”.

Drag the punchpoints to the right until they slant as shown in figure 30 above.
