To display the area and perimeter of a region

1

On the Inquire menu, click Area/Perimeter, or click the Inquire Area 
button on the All-In-One toolbar. If a selection set exists, it is temporarily 
suspended.

Enter a point to begin the irregular polygon. A rubber-band line follows 
the pointer.

Enter a point to define a corner of the polygon. A rubber-band polygon 
follows the pointer. Repeat this step until you define all of the corners of 
the irregular polygon.

Right-click. The Area and Perimeter dialog box appears.

5

Click Close or click Inquire Again to display another area and perimeter, 
or click the Copy button to copy the currently displayed area and 
perimeter to the Clipboard.
