(3) Calibration method

[Procedure]

To warm-up the reference oscillator for the MD8470A, turn on the

power of the MD8470A , leaving it for 24 hours.

Input the standard frequency into the external reference input of the

frequency counter.

Adjust the calibration trimmer for the crystal oscillator (

Freq Adj

the rear panel of the MD8470A) so that the frequency counter dis-

plays 10.000000 MHz

0.2 Hz.
