4.2 Calibration
4.2.1 Purpose and when to implement
Perform a calibration periodically to prevent performance deterioration of
the MD8470A. Calibration should be performed once or twice a year. If
your unit does not meet the calibration specifications, contact Anritsu
Service and Sales office.
4.2.2 Required measuring instruments
The following table lists the equipment required for calibration along
with the calibration item.
CAUTION
If not otherwise specified, turn on the UE Signalling Tester
and measuring instruments at least thirty minutes before
starting the calibration to make their performance stable.
To achieve the highest accuracy, the calibration should be
performed at room temperature with little AC voltage fluc-
tuation in an environment free from noise, vibration, dust
and humidity.
