4.1 Performance Test
4.1.1 Purpose and when to implement
Perform a performance test in order to check performance after accep-
tance inspection, periodic inspections and repairs. Always keep perfor-
mance of the MD8470A within the specifications by performing a perfor-
mance test periodically. Periodical tests should be performed once or
twice a year. If the performance test result does not meet the standard
requirements, contact Anritsu Service and Sales office.
4.1.2 Performance test item
The following test item is described.
(1) Reference oscillator frequency stability
4.1.3 Required measuring instruments
The following table lists the equipment required for performance test
along with the test item.
CAUTION
If not otherwise specified, turn on the UE Signalling Tester
and measuring instruments at least thirty minutes before
starting the performance test to make their performance
stable. To achieve the highest accuracy, the test should
be performed at room temperature with little AC voltage
fluctuation in an environment free from noise, vibration,
dust and humidity.
