2.3.11 ISDN connectors

The

ISDN0

connector on the rear panel of the MD8470A main unit is a

connector for connecting to an ISDN device (BRI). Use a cable with

shielding in order to observe radiation interference specifications.

The

ISDN1

connector on the rear panel of the MD8470A main unit is a

connector for connecting to an ISDN device (PRI). It is currently un-

available.

The

ISDN

connector can be used only when the MU847090A/B ISDN In-

terface Unit is installed. Refer to the Operation Manual of the simula-

tion kit for detailed test methods using ISDN devices.

The rear panel of the MD8470A has

Call Proc Ethernet

connectors and

Ethernet

connectors, which are identical RJ-45 connectors. Check the

connector labels when connecting and be careful so as not to connect to

the wrong connection point.

For the MU847090A ISDN Interface Unit, terminate the line on the net-

work side externally. If the line is not terminated at a connected ISDN
