2.3.10 Call processing Ethernet connectors

The

Call Proc Ethernet A

connectors located on the rear panel of the

MD8470A are RJ-45 connectors to perform communication tests between

the MD8470A and the test terminal. The MD8470A comes with Slots A

to D for attaching a signalling unit to the MD8470A, and each A to D con-

nector corresponds to Slots A to D of the MD8470A, respectively.

10BASE-T is supported. Use a cable with shielding in order to observe

radiation interference specifications.

Refer to the Operation Manual of the simulation kit for detailed use of the

Call Proc Ethernet A

connectors.

The rear panel of the MD8470A has

ISDN

connectors and

Ethernet

connec-

tors, which are identical RJ-45 connectors. Check the connector labels

when connecting and be careful so as not to connect to the wrong connec-

tion point.
