3.2.2

Operating Windows

Windows XP Professional is installed in the MD8470A. Refer to Win-

dows help functions when something is unclear in Windows operations.

A password of Administrator is set to “xst” at shipment.

A default user is set to “xstuser” at shipment.

Note the following when installing computer anti-virus software in the

MD8470A.

•

The MD8470A checks operations with Symantec Norton AntiVirus.

Setting changes may be required when using other computer anti-virus

software.

•

Setting changes may be required when using computer anti-virus soft-

ware with Firewall functions.

CAUTION

It is recommended to take back-up of data contents

when saving data to the hard disk of the MD8470A.

Anritsu is not responsible for data loss in the hard

disk.

S-drive of the MD8470A is defaulted so as not to be

displayed on your PC by My Computer, etc. Do not

change settings for the S-drive. Changing the S drive

settings may prevent the MD8470A from starting.

that it is not displayed with applications that do not support the Help

functions.
