About This Manual

The MD8470A Signalling Tester (hereinafter, referred to as MD8470A) is

a test equipment platform that can simulate mobile communications net-

work and provides test environment for various call processing statuses

and services.

When using this equipment, it is necessary to install simulation kit and

add optional devices according to a test method and the specifications

that the user equipment (hereinafter referred to as UE) conforms to.

This manual describes how to use the panel keys and connectors, main

unit setup method, and basic operation methods.

Refer to the separate operation manual of the simulation kit or optional

devices for detailed information on test methods.
