RAI state (see
Figure F-18
) – either on the local or remote side causes the
local ACE to sent RAI signals only towards the near TDM end, but not over the
PSN towards the remote ACE.
Trail-Extended Mode
In structure-aware trail-extended mode:
• TDM channel errors (see Figure F-20 ) are propagated over the PSN just as in
structure-agnostic mode (see
Figure F-16
). An AIS alarm is forwarded over
the PSN using the L and M bits of the CESoPSN control word.

TDM pseudowire errors (see

) are mapped to TDM errors (AIS)
towards the TDM ends. An AIS alarm is propagated over the PSN using the R
bit of the CESoPSN control word.
