Mounting and Dismounting the Incubator Lid
The incubation system is an integral part of the
system. The lid is attached to the stage by magnets.
Before mounting a sample, the incubator lid must be
removed.
1.
Move the transmission arm to the up position.
2.
Firmly grip the incubator lid (Fig. 15/
1
) and pull
vertically upwards.
We do not recommend due to magnetic forces
to put the lid down on the system table.
Instead place it on a non-magnetic shelf or
table.
To mount the lid again, proceed as follows:
1.
Move the transmission arm to the up position.
2.
Take the lid and put it vertically on the stage.
Make sure to match the electronic contacts
2
) between lid and stage and that the
recess of the lid fits into elevated part of the
stage. The lid will then snap onto the stage via its
magnets (Fig. 15/
3
).
3.
Lower the transmission arm.
The transmission arm is connected to the laser
safety system. In order that the system can
operate, the transmission arm must be
lowered.
The lid (Fig. 16/
1
) contains two recesses (holes)
(Fig. 16/
2
) at its bottom for perfusion tubings or
cables. These holes can be closed with a special
designed cover (Fig. 16/
3
). For assembling align the
cover with the lid's holes and bring it in contact with
the inter lid surface. The cover will be held by
magnets.
The holes need to be closed when the humidity
is 85%-95%.
