11.2 Alarm messages
11.2.1 High-priority alarm (red)
Alarm Cause Remedy
Asystole
Asystole detected
Act in accordance with currently
applicable guidelines.
If medically indicated, carry out
suitable treatment.
Battery defective
Battery defective
Let the device run on battery
power without line power until it
switches off. Fully recharge battery
(see 4.4.2, p. 86) . If the device
continues to display the alarm:
Change battery
(see 4.4.4, p. 88) .
Battery empty
Very low battery status
Change battery (see 4.4.4, p. 88) .
Connect device to line power (see
4.3, p. 83) and charge battery (see
4.4.2, p. 86) .
Check defibrillation
electrodes
(Manual mode)
Defibrillation electrodes no longer
attached/not attached correctly to
the patient Attach defibrillation electrodes to
the patient correctly

Check patient contact
