5.9 Stitch length dial
Different stitch lengths alter the appearance of the stitching.
You can select various numbers and symbols by turning the
‹stitch length
dial›
. In general, the higher the number, the further the stitch is spread
apart.
W6 tip: The thicker the fabric, the higher the number of the stitch length.
The stitch length can be freely set within the range from 1 to 5 mm. The
desired value must be set at the marking point on the cover housing.
Most covering work is sewn with a seam length of 2.5 mm. To do so, set the
stitching length dial to the symbol [horizontal dash] between 2 and 3.

5.10 Lifting and lowering the presser foot lifter
There is an elongated lever on the left exterior side at the very top of the
cover. This is the presser foot lifter, with which you can lift and lower the
presser foot of the cover.
