11.1 Inspection at W6
You W6 cover requires basic care and cleaning to ensure that the stitch
quality is maintained. To enable you to carry out this care easily yourself
without much effort, the W6 workshop team has provided you with
suitable care instructions with descriptive illustrations in this manual.
However, there are certain areas of the W6 cover which cannot be
reached with normal cleaning. If your W6 cover has been used very
frequently, then the fluff and dust deposits must be removed regularly.
Is the appearance of the seam no longer flawless even after you have
cleaned it? Is your W6 cover getting noisier? This may mean that sewing
dust or pieces of thread should be removed from bearings and shafts by
a trained professional.
The interaction between the hook and the needle bar should also be
readjusted at certain intervals, as these can also be affected by
uncontrolled tugging at fabric, dirt deposits and needle strikes. Thorough
cleaning as part of an inspection service by our W6 master workshop will
solve these problems.
Parts subject to the warranty conditions will of course be repaired or
replaced free of charge.
An inspection performed at regular intervals at the owner’s expense will
result in quiet operating characteristics and nice seams. Furthermore,
this will also increase the longevity and functionality of your cover.
W6 WERTARBEIT recommends an annual inspection for all frequent
sewers. An inspection every 2 to 4 years should be sufficient for normal
use.
You can always book an appointment for an inspection of your cover on our
website [email protected] .
