Installing SmartPass
®
After you determine the location to mount the tags and prepared the
site, you are ready to install SmartPass and connect the power and
communications. This chapter provides these procedures.
Overview
This unit is intended to be installed using listed outdoor grade conduit in accordance
with applicable local electrical and building standards. Installation by a licensed
electrician and building inspection may be required.
Warning
A disconnect device is not incorporated in this equipment. Therefore, a readily
accessible disconnect device must be incorporated in the fixed wiring that supplies
power to the SmartPass. This disconnect device must be in series with the hot
power lead, or a double-pole disconnect device must be placed in series if the
neutral lead cannot be identified.

Ein Trennschalter ist bei diesem Gerät nicht vorhanden. Ein einfach zugänglicher
Schalter sollte in die feste Verkabelung, die den Strom SmartPass zuführt,
eingebaut werden. Dieser Schalter sollte in Serie mit der stromführenden Leitung
angeschlossen sein bzw. ein zweipoliger Schalter muß in Serie angeschlossen
werden, falls der Nulleiter nicht identifiziert werden kann.
