17. Slide the armature assembly into the starter as-
sembly (Fig. 0774).
19. Pull back on the brush holder springs. Slide the
brushes outward so that the springs are holding the
brushes out (Fig. 0776).

20. Slide the brush holder onto the yoke assembly. The
open brush slots should line up with the positive
brushes on the yoke (Fig. 0777).

18. Slide the yoke assembly onto the armature (Fig.
0775).
Note: There is a tab on the yoke that lines up with a
groove in the armature.
