Relea s ing the s hallow water s etting
a.Turn the Rever s e Lock Lever upward to
s et them in "LOCK" po s ition.
b.Tilt up the engine s lightly and then let it
go down. The s hallow water s etting i s
then relea s ed.
c.The engine i s relea s ed from s hallow
water s etting, and locked at normal
running po s ition.

Do not shift into Reverse during planning,
or control will be lost leading to serious
personal injury, boat may swamp, and/or
hull may be damaged.

Do not shift into Reverse during cruis-
ing, or control may be lost, falling down
or causing passenger(s) to be thrown
overboard. Leading to serious personal
injury, and steering system and/or shift-
ing mechanism may be damaged.
Never stop the engine immediately after a
full throttle run. Keep it running for two or
three minutes at idling speed (
S hift Lever
set to Neutral) to allow it to cool down.
