1 Stop the engine.

Di s connect the fuel connector, the
remote control cable s , the battery
cord s , bracket fixing bolt s and nut s etc.
3 Remove the outboard motor from the
hull and completely drain the water from
the gear ca
s e.
Do not carry the outboard motor immedi-
ately after stopping engine when they are
so hot that they burn hands if touched.
Be s ure to keep the engine vertical whenever
you carry the outboard motor.
Close air vent screw of fuel tank and fuel
cock before carrying or storing outboard
motor and fuel tank, or fuel may leak,
potentially catching fire.
When carrying or putting the engine up for
s torage, make s ure the s ide with the elec-
tric motor of the Power Trim and Tilt i s
down otherwi s e air will enter the pump
s y s tem for the Power Trim and Tilt opera-
tion.
