illustrates the connection of customer-supplied music sources. The first
music source is passed to any port in a hold state and may also be selected as
background music over the speaker of idle key telephone sets. The second music
source may be defined in the system database as a second music source for multiple
background music sources.
The music source should have a line-level (-10dBm or 50 to 100mV), 600

output, with an adjustable output level. In some cases, an 8
Ω
speaker level output from
a portable radio or tape player may be used with satisfactory results, if the volume is
set relatively low and background noise is not objectionable.
The music connectors are stereo 3.5 mm phone plugs, see
Figure 9-9 on page 9-17
