IPx Office/EX Expansion units cannot be interconnected in the same system
with IPx 500X cages or IPx 800X cages or FlexiCom 200 CSLX cabinets.
FlexiCom 200 CSLX Expansion cabinets cannot be interconnected in the
same system with IPx 500X cages or IPx 800X cages or IPx Office/EX units.
IPx Office/EX and FlexiCom 200 CSLX Expansion cabinets require Coral IPx
Office Software Version 15.5 or higher.
Every IPx Office expansion unit houses an ESIX card in slot 6-7. Each ESIX card
includes two expansion connectors: one 50-pin, female, pin-type connector and one
50-pin, female, ribbon-type connector.
The IPx 500X expansion cage includes two 50-pin connectors: the top connection is
female; the bottom connection is male. The top female connection connects the first
expansion cage to the second expansion cage. The lower male connection connects
either to the female connection on the main cage or to the female connection on the
first expansion cage.
The IPx 800X expansion cage includes two 50-pin cable connectors: the lower
connection is female; the top connection is male. The lower female connection
connects the first expansion cage to the second expansion cage. The top male
connection connects either to the female connection on the main cage or to the female
connection on the first expansion cage.
The FlexiCom 200 expansion cabinet includes two 25-pin D-type cable connectors:
the connector closest to the front is male; the connector closest to the rear is female.
The male connector connects to the main unit or the first expansion cage. The female
connector connects to the second expansion cage.
The figures below show how to interconnect the IPx Office main unit with expansion
units.
