The Coral IPx Office connects directly to the LAN whether or not an NTU Office card
is supplied with the system. A switching device can be added, allowing additional IP
endpoints to be cascaded within the system (up to 240 altogether). See

Connecting to the LAN when an NTU Office Card is Supplied
If an NTU Office card is supplied with the system, the dynamic IP addresses can be
provided either by the NTU Office card or by the DHCP server at the customer’s site.
When the customer’s DHCP server is used, disable the NTU Office card DHCP server.
Connecting to the LAN when an NTU Office Card is not Supplied
If an NTU Office card is not supplied with the system, the dynamic IP addresses are
provided by the customer’s DHCP server.

Connecting to the WAN when an NTU Office Card is Supplied
If an NTU Office card is supplied with the system, the Coral IPx Office connects
directly to the WAN without an external, customer-supplied router. In this case, the
dynamic IP addresses can be provided either by the NTU Office card or by the DHCP
server at the customer’s site. For ADSL or cable/DSL, an additional modem is
required.
When the customer’s DHCP server is used, disable the NTU Office card DHCP server.
Connecting to the WAN when an NTU Office Card is not Supplied
If an NTU Office card has not been supplied, connecting to the WAN is possible only
after a router has been added between one of the LAN ports and the WAN. In this case,
the dynamic IP addresses are provided by the customer’s DHCP server. For ADSL or
cable/DSL, an additional modem is required.
