7.22 KIDNEY CYLINDER REPLACEMENT
Replace kidney hydraulic cylinder as follows:
1. Position tabletop to level.
2. Turn Main Power Switch to OFF and remove
battery fuse (refer to supplied Operator Manual for
more information).
3. Remove tabletop seat section per
4. Remove tabletop kidney section per
5. Remove seat section accessory rail assembly by
removing and saving three screws and spacers.
6. Unscrew both fastening shafts (see Figure 7-35).

7. Disconnect kidney hydraulic cylinder connection.
Discard hydraulic screw and sealing washers.
8. Remove kidney hydraulic cylinder WITH all
mechanical parts (see Figure 7-36).
9. Disconnect cylinder from mechanical parts rod.
10. Reassemble in reverse order.
NOTE: When reassembling the kidney hydraulic
cylinder, note the following:
1) Replace (do not reuse) hydraulic screws and sealing
washers (see Figure 7-28). Ensure bolt threads,
manifold threads and hose connectors are free of
rubber seal particles.
2) Torque new screws to 12 N•m (106 lbf•in).
3) Degrease both shafts, apply Loctite 270 to setscrews
(inside fastening shafts) and lightly lubricate shafts
after reassembly.
4) Slide kidney bridge limit switch back all the way
(see illustration). Adjust bracket until sensor
switch opens (audible click). Tighten screws.
5) After reassembly, move kidney section up and down
several times to ensure proper operation of kidney
bridge and limit switch and no hydraulic oil leakage.
6) Verify kidney assembly status on the hand control.

7.23 LEG CYLINDER REPLACEMENT
Replace leg section hydraulic cylinder as follows:
1. Position tabletop to level.
2. Turn Main Power Switch to OFF and remove
battery fuse (refer to supplied Operator Manual for
more information).
3. Remove leg section and set safely aside.
4. Remove leg switch plate cover.
5. Remove seat section tabletop (see
6. Remove kidney cylinder (see
).
7. Remove kidney cylinder bracket.
8. Remove sensor wiper (left side only).
9. Loosen shaft locking screw and then remove shaft
from locking device (see Figure 7-37).
