5.2 ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING
See Troubleshooting Guide (
) for a sequence
of steps to use to identify and correct most electrical
problems encountered. Also refer to the electrical
schematics behind
tab when using
the Troubleshooting Guide.
, when the cause
of the problem appears to be hydraulic.
Electrical Troubleshooting Guidelines:
• Before replacing any PC boards or other components
suspected of being defective, ensure all cable plugs are
fully inserted into their respective jacks.
• Ensure all cable pins are installed and locked into place
on the plug(s).
• When making any dc voltage measurements,
reference the dc ground, not the chassis ground.
(These two points are isolated from each other.)
The pump motor and/or the hydraulic solenoids can
be checked by applying 24 Vdc only directly to the
component.
• To completely disconnect power to the table, the line
cord as well as the batteries must be disconnected.
• When resoldering or replacing any of the table
microswitches, isolate the control by disconnecting its
associated plug.
BATT FUSE
No fuse or blown fuse.
Check fuse; plug power cord into
facility power.
BATT DEF
Battery voltages differ by more than
0.6 V.
Check voltage of each battery;
replace battery.
CHARGER DEF
Battery charger is defective or fuse
(inside the charger) is blown.
Check fuse F1; change battery
charger.
POWER DEF
Transformer too hot or fuse F2 is
blown. Table still operates on battery
power.
Wait for transformer to cool; check
fuse F2 (inside power supply);
replace power supply.
PUMP DEF
No hydraulic pump control.
Change power supply.
VALVE DEF
No valve control.
Change control board.
MOTOR DEF
No SLIDE motor control. SLIDE
inoperative.
Replace sliding board.
MOTOR FAIL
The power control is always on.
SLIDE inoperative.
Replace sliding board.
SLIDE DEF
No SLIDE control. SLIDE inoperative.
Change sliding board.
SLIDE FAIL
SLIDE
continuously
operating.
SLIDE inoperative.
Replace sliding board.
PUMP FAIL
Pump does not shut off.
Change power supply.
BAD VERSION
Hand control software version is
incompatible with control board
software version.
Replace Hand Control.
VOLTAGE PEAK
Battery voltage reaches 31 V.
Replace power supply.
VALVE FAIL
Valve does not shut off.
Replace control board.
SLIDE HEAD or SLIDE FOOT
SLIDE is not within 1” (25 mm) of
center position when unlock floor
locks is attempted.
Position SLIDE to 0”.
