Chapter 2 Unpacking and Installation
Sensor Installation
Setting Up a Remote Sampling System
It is not necessary to position the IsoAir 310P enclosure in the air flow to be sampled.
If needed, the enclosure can be installed in a remote location. Connect up to 3 meters
of sample tubing from the enclosure to an isokinetic probe (ISP), positioning the ISP in
the airflow sampling area.
NOTE:
In pharmaceutical applications, no more than 2 meters of inlet
tubing is recommended.
Required materials:
• Bev-a-Line 3/8-inch ID sampling tube
3 meters long (Provided)
• IsoAir 310P ISP (Provided)
• A standard laboratory mounting system for ISP (User must provide)
>> To set up an IsoAir 310P for remote sampling:
1
Set up a mounting system in the area to be monitored.
2
Remove the ISP from the IsoAir 310P enclosure and connect it to the mounting
system.
3
Insert one end of the Bev-a-Line tubing through the hole in the top of the IsoAir 310P
enclosure and over the particle counter inlet tube.
4
Attach the other end of the tube to the bottom of the ISP.
5
Adjust the ISP on the laboratory mounting system to achieve the best orientation for
sampling. ISP should be oriented in accordance with the air flow direction.
