Operations
Pump Flow Alarm and Shut-off
The IsoAir 310P particle sensor uses a sophisticated three-pressure transducer system
for monitoring flow. An airflow error will occur if the ISP is capped. If the flow is blocked
for the customer-defined time or the default time of 10 minutes, the firmware will turn
the pump off and stop data collection. Once the system is in this state, the firmware
will try to start the pump at the user-defined intervals. When the pump is determined
to be working again, the system will restart.
The attempted restart will occur for 10 times; after that the system will need to be reset
to begin sampling.
In addition, the blower current is monitored by the electronics to check for over-
current situations.
Airflow errors and instrument shutdown conditions are sent to FacilityPro and/or
Facility Net where they can trigger an alarm.
Detector Board
The detector board is monitored for proper operation. If the detector board has a
problem and does not detect particles for approximately 41 minutes, a failure alarm
will occur. The Failure Alarm will be indicated as a “Laser Fault.” This will allow for
faster response to non-working systems.
