The nTier700 VTL includes high availability features, such as RAID 6 protection of data
drives, RAID 1 protection of the operating system and boot drives, and N+1 power.
With these features, a single part failure of any component typically does not typically
affect uptime and customer data remains protected.
Service Options
The standard warranty for the nTier700 VTL is one year of SpectraGuard Standard
service. For more information on SpectraGuard Standard, see

below.
In addition to SpectraGuard Standard, Spectra Logic provides the following upgraded

SpectraGuard Standard
One year of SpectraGuard Standard service is included in the purchase of every
nTier700 VTL. SpectraGuard Standard is appropriate for customers who are able to
wait a business day for replacement parts that can be installed by users and have on-
site staff to replace them.

Next Business Day Delivery on Parts
—On verification that a part has failed, a
replacement will be shipped from factory to arrive on-site the next business day.

Telephone Support
—Toll-free (US and Canada) access to highly trained
SpectraGuard Technical Support staff Monday through Friday from 8:00am to
5:00pm, customer local time zone. An exception to telephone support is Spectra
Logic and U.S. nationally recognized holidays.

Software and Firmware Updates
—Spectra Logic provides updates to software and
firmware as they become available.

Online Support—
Customers have access to www.spectralogic.com/support for the
SpectraGuard knowledge base and all online documentation.
