Spectra nTier700 VTL Overview

The Spectra nTier700 Deduplication VTL (referred to as the nTier700 VTL) uses 
FalconStor

®

 Virtual Tape Library (VTL) software to provide VTL and Single Instance 

Repository (SIR) functionality in a single, preconfigured appliance. The nTier700 VTL 
is available in the following configurations:

Spectra nTier700 v1000

—A single-blade configuration with 8 Terabytes (TB) of 

RAID 6 storage providing a logical capacity of from 60 TB to 175 TB based on 10:1 
and 30:1 deduplication ratios.

ƒ

Spectra nTier700 v2000

—A two-blade configuration providing 16 TB of RAID 6 

storage providing a logical capacity of from 140 TB to 415 TB based on 10:1 and 
30:1 deduplication ratios.

ƒ

Spectra nTier700 v3000

—A three-blade configuration providing 24 TB of RAID 6 

storage providing a logical capacity of from 210 TB to 625 TB based on 10:1 and 
30:1 deduplication ratios
