3.8 Connecting outputs of the basic unit in parallel

Deactivating the parallel connection of the outputs

With the power supply shut down, bring the corresponding DIP switch "P1+2" (outputs 1 and

2) or "P3+4" (outputs 3 and 4) into position "OFF" (left), to deactivate the parallel connection.

After they have been switched-on again, the outputs are in the operating state "Manually

shut down" (LED of the outputs are lit yellow). You can switch-on the outputs again by

pressing the appropriate button.

Activating the parallel connection of the outputs

With the power supply system shut down, bring slider switches "P1+2" (outputs 1 and 2) or

"P3+4" (outputs 3 and 4) in position "ON" (right) to activate the parallel connection.

The LEDs with the designation "Parallel", assigned to the relevant outputs, are lit green.
After switching on again, the output connected in parallel is in the operating state "manually

shut down" (LED "ON/OFF/RST" of output 1 or 3 is lit yellow). You can switch-on the output

again by pressing the appropriate button.

Values for output voltage and response threshold value of the output current when the parallel

connection is activated

The potentiometer for output 2 is deactivated when connecting outputs 1 and 2 in parallel.
The common output has the output voltage defined using the voltage potentiometer for

output 1.
The valid response threshold value of the output current is obtained by doubling the setting

value at the current potentiometer of output 1.
Example: A setting value of 8 A results in a response threshold value of 8 A x 2 = 16 A.
