Filtering, zone addresses, communication areas

The diagrams below show the relationship between filter settings, zone addresses
and communication areas, based on the zone addresses for distribution zones.

Prerequisite:

All area/line couplers and IP routers in the network must have the
same filter setting.

LTE telegrams with zone addresses 1…15 are communicated only within the line,
i.e. telegrams with these zone addresses are blocked.

LTE telegrams with zone addresses 16…31 are communicated outside that line, i.e.
telegrams with these zone addresses are routed.

Zone addresses that are blocked by the filter setting "Normal (route)" can be re-
