Description
The UWS11A option converts RS-232 signals, for example from the PC, into RS-485 signals. These RS-485
signals can then be routed to the RS-485 interface of the MOVITRAC
®
B.
The UWS11A option requires a DC 24 V voltage supply (I
max
= DC 100 mA).
RS-232 interface
The connection between UWS11A and PC is made using a commercially available serial interface cable
(shielded!).
RS-485 interface
You can use the RS485 interface of the UWS11A to network up to 32 MOVITRAC
®
B units for communica-
tion (max. total cable length 200 m (656 ft)). Do not connect external terminating resistors because dynamic
terminating resistors are already installed.
