dot1x timeout tx-period
Configures the dot1x tx-period timeout in seconds that the switch waits for a response
from a client EAP-request/identity frame before retransmitting the request.
Command Mode: Interface Configuration
Syntax
dot1x timeout tx-period <seconds>
Description

<seconds>
- Sets the tx-period timeout in seconds. Default is 30 seconds.
Example
!Sets the tx-period timeout to 60 seconds on port 7.

dot1x max-req
Sets the number of requests the switch will send an EAP-request/identity frame to the
client before retransmitting the authentication process.
Command Mode: Interface Configuration
Syntax
dot1x max-req <value>
Description

<value>
- Sets the number of requests before initiating the authentication process.
Default is 5 requests.
Example
!Sets the maximum EAP-request times to 4 on port 7.
