Multiple Spanning Tree Commands
spanning-tree mst max-hops
Specifies maximum hop count.
Command Mode: Global Configuration
Syntax
spanning-tree mst max-hops <hop>
Description
■
<hop>
- Specifies the maximum hop count. May be an integer from 6 to 40. Default is
20 hops.
Example
!Sets Maximum Hops to 40
Switch(config)#
spanning-tree mst max-hops
40
Switch(config)#
spanning-tree mst instance priority
Specifies the bridge priority instance.
Command Mode: Global Configuration
Syntax
spanning-tree mst <instance> priority <priority>
Description

<instance>
- Specifies the bridge priority instance as an integer from 1 to 31.
■
priority <priority>
- Specifies the valid priority values. Values are 4096, 8192,
12288, 16384, 20480, 24576, 28672, 32768, 36864, 40960, 45056, 49152, 53248, 57344,
and 61440. All other values are rejected. Default is 32768.
Example
!Set bridge priority to 4096 for instance 2
