802.1X Commands
802.1X Commands
802.1x Commands configure the authentication mechanisms to devices wishing to attach
to a LAN or WLAN. The switch supports port based IEEE802.1x. and EAP-MD5 and
enabled/disabled forwarding of EAP frame when 802.1x is disabled.
dot1x system-auth-control
Enables or disables dot1x in the switch. Enabled by default.
Command Mode: Global Configuration
Syntax
[no] dot1x system-auth-control
Example
!Enables dot1x (default).
Switch(config)# dot1x system-auth-control
Switch(config)#
!Disables dot1x.
Switch(config)# no dot1x system-auth-control
Switch(config)#
dot1x flood-Eapol
Enables or disables flood-Eapol in the switch. Disabled by default.
Command Mode: Global Configuration
Syntax
[no] dot1x flood-Eapol
Example
!Enables Eapol flooding.
Switch(config)# dot1x flood-Eapol

!Disables Eapol flooding (default).
