Layer 2 Functional Specifications
16. MAC Address
The switch supports the IVL learning method. The capacity and secrue MAC
specifications are as follows.
Capacity: up to 8K MAC addresses
1024 static MAC addresses
256 L2 Multicast MAC addresses
512 secure MAC addresses
Secure MAC: Once enabled, only specific MAC addresses can be forwarded by

the switch.

Up to 16 MAC addresses can be configured per port and 512 MAC

addresses per system. You may access this feature by enabling the

global secure MAC function.
17. 802.1X
The system supports port based IEEE 802.1X and EAP-MD5. Also supports
enabled/disabled forwarding of EAP frame when 802.1X is disabled.
18. RADIUS
Supports RADIUS authentication for IEEE802.1x, timeout and retry-count
changes, re-authentication timer, and RADIUS accounting for 802.1x. Supports
up to 5 Multi-RADIUS servers when enabled.

The system supports authentication for system login IEEE802.1x. The
following features are allowed:
• Up to 5 multi TACACS servers.
• User-server configuration.
• Timeout and retry-count change.
• TACACS trace level configuration.
• Accounting for IEEE802.1x and accounting may be enabled/disabled.
