LLDP Commands
LLDP timer
Configures transmission frequency of LLDP updates (in seconds) on the system.
Command Mode: Global Configuration
Syntax
[no] LLDP timer <integer>
Description
■
<integer>
- Sets the LLDP timer. May be an integer from 5 to 32768.
■
no LLDP timer
- Resets LLDP timer to default 30 seconds.
Example
Switch(config)# LLDP timer 20

LLDP holdtime-multiplier
Configures the multiplier value, used to calculate the time-to-live value (TTL = holdtime-
multiplier x transmit interval) that determins how long LLDP information will be held by
neighbor.

[no] LLDP holdtime-multiplier <integer>
Description

<integer>
- Sets the multiple of the transmit interval (TTL = holdtime-multiplier x
transmit interval). May be an integer from 2 to 10.
■
no LLDP holdtime-multiplier
- Resets LLDP holdtime-multiplier to default 4.
